Our Dearest Eugene passed away peacefully. Eugene was one of a kind with a cantankerous manner that overshadowed his big, soft heart. Though he never married or had children, he treasured his nieces and nephews as his own and took immense pride in each of them. He pushed them all to reach their potential and supported them in that journey. Eugene worked for the State of Michigan, and once retired, took up the game of golf, in which he found much enjoyment. Eugene was closest to his sister Lillian, driving her in her later years, spending every day with her, even tucking her into bed. Their bickering was their trademark, along with their enduring commitment to each other.
