COVID-19 Update
A
message to the families we serve and our community…
As
always, Hackett-Metcalf Funeral Home is here to assist you with the planning of
a funeral for your loved one. We are fully committed to the families we serve,
as well as our community.
Please feel free to contact us if you are in need of our services or if you have any questions. We can be reached 24 hours a day / 7 days a week by calling 313-274-4000.
We are
closely monitoring all updates in regards to the COVID-19 Pandemic. The safety
of the families we serve, the public that visits our funeral home and our staff
is very important to us.
We do
ask for those at risk and those not feeling well to stay at home. We encourage
you to send your condolences on our website by clicking on your loved ones
obituary tribute wall.
For
those that are planning on attending a visitation, a memorial or a service at
our funeral home or a church we urge you to follow these recommendations:
- Stay
home when you are sick.
- Wash
your hands frequently with soap and water.
- Avoid
touching your eyes, nose and mouth.
- Cover
cough or sneeze with a tissue,
then throw the tissue in the trash.
-
Practice Social Distancing
(please refrain
from offering handshakes and direct contact).
- Do
not bring food or drink to the funeral home
-
Honoring Life
It's important to take the time to acknowledge the uniqueness of the deceased: the individuality of their personality, and the uniqueness of their life's path. Not just for them, but for you; it affirms the relationship, and leads to healing after loss. Honoring their life is truly an act of love - for the both of you.
